Product Concept
This product is a charge-discharge test system that provides high-speed operation, high accuracy, and high reliability required for the evaluation test of the secondary battery by combining our power control technology with a new generation soft-switching method. It provides highly-efficient conversion during charge time and also regenerates power during discharge time at high efficiency. This has achieved the reduction of the amount of heat generation by about 80%, compared to the traditional method. It is the charge-discharge test system that can reuse energy and consider earth environment.
Core Technology for Regeneration Charge-discharge Power Supply
  • Soft-switching technology
    The soft-switching, the advanced switching technology, has been used. This has achieved the high efficiency of
    80% during charge time and of 77% during discharge time.
  • Digitalizing power supply control part
    Digitalizing the power supply control part has achieved the high-accuracy discharge-charge system having a good
    reproducibility.
  • Interactive converter technology
    The interactive converter technology has achieved downsizing of the power supply and fast switching of chargedischarge.
    This allows you to perform various types of power supply tests.
     
 
Highly-efficient regeneration technology  
Unlike the traditional dropper method (which uses semiconductor and others to discharge electricity with their resistance), this system does not convert power to heat during discharge time.
It can regenerate high amount of energy discharged from the high-capacity battery into the primary power supply line at high efficiency without waste. Discharge power that had been converted to heat and consumed can be used effectively.
Suppressing the occurrence of this thermal energy can reduce operation costs such as air-conditioning equipment.

High accuracy
This system uses the high-accuracy and high-resolution 16bit D/A converter to achieve 1mV of constant voltage setting resolution (type 60V) and 10mA of constant current setting resolution (for 300A full scale).
Also, it has achieved 0.1% FS with the high stable reference voltage IC and high stability resistance.
Fast charge-discharge switching
At cross points where charge and discharge are switched, the interactive converter technology providing smooth switching of charge and discharge has achieved smooth current switching where no notch or current waveform overshoot/undershoot occurs.
Also, it has achieved fast operation where switching time from charge to discharge in the constant current mode is 1ms or less (actual value 500s: type 60V) (against a change from -99 to +99% of rated outputcurrent).

Option support
Data logging of fast and simultaneous sampling
Connecting the special multi-channel data collection unit "DU104 series" to this system has achieved sampling where each channel is correctly synchronized.
This synchronizing function allows you to measure stable cell voltage with no timing error of each channel.
The sampling speed is fast with the maximum speed of 1ms. It provides sufficient sampling performance even in the maximum step of 10ms of our charge-discharge system that can be operated fast. You can collect up to 104ch cell voltage in 10ms and extend up to 520 channels with the multi-connection up to five units.
Data logging of fast and simultaneous sampling
Thermostatic chamber interface
You can control the thermostatic chamber by working it with the charge-discharge cycle program. This function allows you to test charge-discharge characteristics in the sample usage environment. Also, the interlock function mutually monitors the charge-discharge system and the thermostatic chamber.
Safety-designed to stop them when any abnormalities are detected.
